U.N. Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre – Established in 1996 along with Govt. of Gujarat and serving the needy for more than 27 years. Started from 75 IPD beds in 1996 to 1200 IPD beds in 2023. Conducts 2,50,000+ OPDs, 40,000+ IPDs and 6,000+ surgeries each year.
The Pediatric Healthcare Programme
“Reach Each Child” Initiated in 2014, REACH is a Child Healthcare centric initiative and the flagship program of UNM Foundation. Focus on Children Healthcare – Grassroot Interventions and Clinical Interventions. 1.5 lac children screened and 70,000+ children covering 1600+ villages, have been successfully brought out of malnutrition and anemia.
Sumangal- Multi-disciplinary OPD Clinic
Sumangal a Multi-disciplinary OPD Clinic for under privileged people of all age groups has been established since 2012 and till date has conducted 4 Lakh+ OPDs.
Key Highlights of UNM Children Hospital:
Patients from different parts of the country are coming for treatment
9 Pediatric Primary Healthcare Centers (PPHC) have been established in Gujarat in different locations. 10 Bed NICU started at Waghai, Dang (Tribal Area) for under privileged children. More than 3.5 lac children have benefited from these PPHCs.
Adolescent girls counselling for hygiene care; sanitary napkins distribution; 70,000+ beneficiaries in 1200+ villages; 50% converted to reusable.
